Eighteen-year-old Irish racing driver Alyx Coby is set to make her return to the United States to compete in Round 3 of the World Racing League (WRL) championship at Mid Ohio. Coby will join the Random Vandals Racing team and step back into the BMW M4 GT4 car after her impressive performance in Road Atlanta last February, where she finished 2nd and 4th overall in the two-day event.
Coby will be competing in the 22 car GTO category alongside team owner Paul Sparta and two-time touring car champion Kevin Boehm. This will be Coby's first time racing at Mid Ohio, and she is looking forward to the challenge. With an entry list of 50 drivers, this will be a highly competitive event, and Coby is determined to make her mark.
"I'm really excited to be back in the United States and to have the opportunity to race at Mid Ohio," said Coby. "This will be a brand new track for me so I am looking forward to the challenge ahead. I had a great time racing in Road Atlanta, and I'm looking forward to building on that success with the Random Vandals Racing team. I'm also thrilled to be racing alongside Kevin Boehm, and I know I'll have a lot to learn from him as I continue to develop my racing career."
